About The Sky Is Not Limited
The Sky is Not Limited has been set up as a non-profit public charity to help get people clean water.
In the year 2000, the UN estimated that there were 1,500,000,000 (that’s one
and a half billion) people on the world, without access to clean drinking
water. By the year 2015, leaders from the United Nations Millennium Summit have concluded that this number will rise drastically, despite pledges to
reduce the number in half. We can help fix this by combining money and a
coordination of efforts. We estimate that with forty thousand dollars, we
can install one station. We hope for one, but envision many. So, if you
can help, please do.
Our organization has consulted with the World Health Organization (WHO) and determined countries, which have the lowest percentages of its citizens with access to improved, clean drinking water sources. The WHO has set a minimum level for water consumption for individuals in a range of 1.0-3.7 liters daily. This water comes from drinking and also in the form of food. Our goal is to provide the WHO required daily standard to hundreds of people for each station we set up.
*We are currently fundraising to provide a deep well for a health clinic in Getongoroma, Kenya. We have raised 30% of the funds necessary to fund this well drilling. The project will be a collaboration with students from the engineering program at Virginia Tech. Please see this link for a story on the project:

Our Mission
Our company’s aim is to provide drinking water to people in need all over the world.
The organization plans to set up stations for providing water to people throughout the world. Stations will use solar power, or photovoltaics, to generate electricity. Electricity can be used to power well pumps or electric heating elements. Many areas which have no clean water have no electricity, which makes solar electricity the perfect solution for the problem of dirty water. Well pumps can pump water during times of sunshine. Electric heating elements can boil water for sanitation. Site specifics will determine which approach well use to provide safe water.
Our People
Founder: Kevin Bailey
Kevin Bailey is a college graduate from The University At Albany
(NY). He is currently enrolled in an electrical construction and
maintenance program. His seemingly endless years of schooling have led him
to create The Sky is Not Limited. He writes: “You know there is a lot of poverty in the world. So much that
people are dying in astounding numbers daily because of a lack of basic
resources. By combining renewable energy and a resource as abundant as
water, we are hoping to assure folks a future of living. As long as the sun
shines and the ocean does not dry up, we should be able to provide all with
clean water.”
Tiffany James became interested in The Sky is Not Limited through her quest to better the world. A graduate of Guilderland High School and The College of Saint Rose, she is a fifth grade teacher in the Albany area. She has been a teacher for the past 3 years. Each day, she teaches the next
generation to appreciate life and strive for their dreams. In addition to
this, Tiffany has also extended her services to Saratoga Bridges, an
organization providing services to people with special needs. As a board
member, she is thrilled and excited to work with and watch an amazing
organization grow. “I am eager to provide a life changing opportunity for
many,” she wrote.
Rebecca Schroeppel is a college graduate from SUNY Plattsburgh and is currently enrolled in the Culinary Program at Schenectady Community College. Her professional work involves managing daily operations at The Albany Pump Station. About her involvement with The Sky is Not Limited she writes, “All my life I have been involved with third world mission work and it has been an honor helping my friends out with this organization. I like that it is an opportunity to make people aware that it is not impossible to help, and an opportunity to help in ways that are good for our Earth.”
Wendy Butcher is a website and marketing specialist, and owner of WB Designs. She has been involved in the Sky is Not Limited for about 6 years now. " I got introduced to Kevin Bailey at a Dave Matthews concert that he was particpating in through the Reverb eco-village. I thought it was an important cause so I have donated my time by creating the website and offering marketing ideas to support the cause. I continue to volunteer at shows to help raise money and get the word out."
Beth DeRosa is a graduate of Providence College and Quinnipiac University. For the last 13 years she has been a stay-at-home mom of three beautiful children, Christian, Sebastian & Meghan. Having adopted Sebastian from Guatemala, Beth feels a personal connection to helping those who are less fortunate and lack the basic necessities so many take for granted. "I feel blessed to have been with TSINL fo so many years and honored to be part of a family doing wonderful things. It is amazing to know with each small step we take we reach so many. God willing I will be a part of this until the day we dig in Guatemala and long thereafter."
Jake DiBari has been volunteering for The Sky for over 3 years. His responsibilities include organizing charity events, handling public relations, and of course FUNDRAISING! "I'm most proud of our Charity Benefit Concert which was held at Saratoga National Golf Club, and featured music by The Ryan Montbleau Band. It was an amazing night of music, dancing, and charity. We raised enough money that night to return to Africa to install more solar powered water wells."
